Holy Cross (Delran, N.J.) offensive line prospect Dennis Landolt may be close to a decision…or he may not be. Landolt is contemplating when he will have a decision, but nothing is definitive at this point.

“That’s what I’m trying to figure out right now,” Landolt said. “I’m figuring out whether I’ll decide by the beginning of my season or if I’ll wait. Right now, I’m leaning to trying to make a decision before the season.”

The 6-5, 280-pound prospect has enjoyed an extremely successful Spring and Summer. After earning MVP honors at the Elite combine in New Jersey, Landolt has seen his scholarship offer total climb to around 20.

In addition, he has made progress in learning more about the schools he’s considering. This summer, he visited many schools including Penn State, Virginia Tech, Rutgers, Boston College, Notre Dame, Northwestern and more. Recently, he visited practices and Penn State and Rutgers and made his first-ever visit to Boston College.

“Boston College was pretty impressive,” Landolt said. “I liked it a lot. I like the coaches, and they have a really nice looking campus.”

As for favorites, Tech is in great position along with Penn State.

“Virginia Tech is right up there with anybody,” Landolt said. “Boston College is right there. There are more schools I’m considering too, like Rutgers and Syracuse. Penn State of course is right at the top. I’d say them and Virginia Tech are probably my #1 choices right now. Both of them are recruiting me the hardest…them and Rutgers. I like a lot of stuff about both of them. They are really close together.”

Landolt will think hard about his decision, but admits “I’ll try to measure everything out, but in the end it will probably just be a gut feeling.
