According to Hargrave Military Academy Head Coach Kevin Keatts, Virginia is expressing interest in 6-5, 200-pound wing forward Marc Egerson. Egerson was the state Player of the Year out of Glasgow High School (Newark, DE) last season.
“Virginia’s recruiting Marc Egerson out of Delaware,” Keatts said. “Egerson is more of a slasher. If you look at him he has a body that appears to be a junior in college. Solid, well put-together kid that can play any position. He’s more suited for the 3 but has a chance to be a 2 one day.
“Egerson’s also being recruited by Ohio State, Xavier, Miami (Fl) and George Washington. Ohio State and Virginia Tech have offered.”
Keatts says Egerson has not committed to any school and “is open” right now. Egerson will likely narrow his list of schools this Fall and make some visits after that point. Right now, Keatts says there is some interest in UVa.
“Marc has some interest in UVa because of Devin Smith from Delaware,” Keatts said.
Egerson will be repeating his senior year at Hargrave. As a senior last season for Glasgow, he averaged around 19 points per game.
