In an update just a few weeks ago, Jack Britt High School (Fayetteville, NC) cornerback prospect Brandon Ghee said he would narrow his list of schools in August. Well he fulfilled his statement and has narrowed his list to just 5.
“I’m down to my top 5,” Ghee said. “I picked the schools I thought were the best for me right now. In no particular order, they are Clemson, Tennessee, UNC, Wake Forest and Virginia Tech.”
The 5-11, 180-pound speedster will focus the rest of this month on preparing for his senior season. In September, he will narrow his list of schools to 2.

“North Carolina is close to home. I think they’re going to be pretty good this year. They’ve got Coach Sanders from Nebraska coaching defensive backs. Nebraska led the nation in interceptions last year. I like his coaching style.
“Wake Forest has great coaches. They have a great family atmosphere. Everybody is close together. Everybody knows each other. Of course they offer a great education.
“George [Bell] goes to Virginia Tech. I like the coaches…they are like a family too. They have a good football tradition and a great education. Virginia Tech has the total package.”
Ghee is being recruited by each of these programs as a cornerback, although Clemson has mentioned safety and cornerback. He wants to major in Computer Engineering, which is something he’s...
