Brown Comments on UVa Junior Day

For St. Peter’s Prep (Jersey City, NJ) star Mike Brown , his visit to the Charlottesville this past Saturday for Junior Day was his first ever trip to the University of Virginia. Brown enjoyed his experience, which appears to have solidified UVa as a serious player on his list.

“The visit really confirmed how great a school it is,” Brown said of UVa. “The coaches did an unbelievable job. They did a lot of personal stuff to show they were interested in just you. There weren’t too many recruits there and they said it was for elite prospects. They made you feel that way. The whole experience was good…it went well. I had been to Maryland for a Junior Day and Syracuse and Penn State before, and it wasn’t set up quite like this.”

One of the “personal” touches the UVa staff prepared was to have jerseys made up with the names of the prospects on them. It certainly stood out to Brown.

“One personal touch that stood out for me was when we went into the locker room and they had our names and numbers on jerseys,” Brown said. “It was a great feeling I hadn’t experienced yet.”
