Fork Union Notes

Last weekend, Fork Union Military Academy prospect Maurice Reevey made an official visit to Clemson. He had an excellent visit, however FUMA Head Coach John Shuman believes the 6-3, 210 pound prospect will make a visit to Virginia Tech before making his collegiate decision.

“He had a really good visit to Clemson,” Shuman said. “They paired him with [junior defensive end] Mo Fountain, who played for us and repeated his senior year with us just like Maurice is doing. So Maurice talked to him quite a bit and they clicked. He said he had a good visit [to Clemson], but I think he’s waiting for the Virginia Tech visit. I don’t think he’ll do anything until he goes there.”

Shuman indicated that Reevey will not be able to move up his previously scheduled official visit with Virginia Tech. He is currently scheduled to visit Blacksburg on January 31st, and it appears that will not change.

“They tried to move it up,” Shuman said. “But I think he’s going to end up going to Tech on the 30th. He probably won’t be able to go this weekend, and he has his college boards on the 23rd.”
