Don Bosco Prep (NJ) wide receiver/cornerback prospect Marquise Liverpool may make an official visit to Boston College this weekend. He is undecided as to whether or not he will make any more official visits if he does make the trip.
“I’m probably going to Boston College this weekend,” Liverpool said. “I don’t know if I’m going to take any more or not. I’m undecided.”
One of the state’s top prospects on one of the country’s top prep teams, Liverpool helped Don Bosco to an undefeated season and a Parochial Group 4 State Championship title. Don Bosco is rated the number two team in the nation by USA Today.
Last weekend, the multi-talented athlete made an official visit to Virginia. He had been to Virginia previously, and enjoyed his most recent visit as well.
“It went well,” Liverpool said. “I enjoyed it. I had a chance to see the atmosphere and the relationships between the players and the coaches, which was good. I was hosted by Jermaine Dias, and also talked to Wali Lundy and Chris Olsen. I had known those guys before.”
Virginia is recruiting the 5-9, 175 pound Liverpool as an athlete. Coach Groh and company spoke to him before he departed about where he fits into the UVA program.
“I talked with the UVA coaches about playing cornerback or wide receiver, and basically contributing wherever I can help the team out at,” Liverpool said. “They also told me what is going on with the team and everything.”
If Liverpool makes his visit to BC this weekend, a decision could come soon between the Eagles and the Cavaliers. They are the top two programs on his list.
