Trautwein Comments on Visit

Eastern Regional (Voorhees, NJ) offensive lineman Phi Trautwein made an official visit to Boston College this past weekend. It was his second official visit, as he toured Michigan State on the weekend of September 27th.

“It went good,” said Trautwein of his visit to BC. “I liked it. I’d never been before, so I learned a lot about the school. Boston is a wonderful place. There are so many students in the city because you have so many colleges in the area. I had a chance to meet the offensive line coach Don Horton and [Head] Coach [Tom] O’Brien and the players. Everything went great.”

Trautwein has Michigan State and Boston College at the top of his list, followed by Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Rutgers.

“Both of my visits were about the same,” said Trautwein of his MSU and BC visits. “At MSU, I had been there before for camp. So when I went there, I was comfortable because I knew the players and the coaches. Plus I have a great relationship with Coach [Jeff] Stoutland, Michigan State’s offensive line coach. That’s the one thing Michigan State had over Boston College. Michigan State might have a slight edge right now, but actually I would just say they are both equal right now.”
