Olu Hall made an unofficial visit to Virginia Tech last Saturday, seeing the Hokies 31-7 victory over Miami. The atmosphere at Lane Stadium was what impressed him the most.
“It was great…it was live,” said Hall. “The atmosphere was happening. It was packed in there and really exciting. I had to leave early, but I had a chance to talk to some players and recruits and they all thought it was cool too. It was an impressive win.”
Hall compared his trip to the UVA/FSU game two weeks earlier.
“Both games were exciting,” said Hall. “Virginia Tech played really good. Virginia played well too, but unfortunately stuff happens.”
Heading into the stretch run of recruiting, Hall has not set up any official visits. Virginia and Virginia Tech may receive two of his official visits, however he is not sure. He is thinking about making most or all official visits to out-of-state programs.
“It is true,” said Hall when asked if he was thinking about taking all out-of-state officials. “I’ve already been to UVA and Virginia Tech, and I’ve seen what they have to offer. I would like to see some out-of-state schools with them paying for it. I want to see and experience different areas.”
Hall acknowledged that, though he is considering not making officials to UVA or Virginia Tech, both programs are still very much in the mix.
“I’m still thinking about making official visits to them,” said Hall. “And they are not in the back of my mind. They are both up there. I’ve just seen what they have to offer and I need to see other areas.”
Ohio State, Tennessee, NC State, and Purdue are some programs Hall mentioned he is considering for visits.
“Ohio State and Tennessee are two programs I’m thinking about seeing,” said Hall. “Purdue and NC State have really started coming on as well, so I’m thinking about them too. I’m not sure yet who I will visit. I still want to focus on my season, and I’ll decide who I visit after my season is over.”
If all goes well, do not expect Hall to begin really thinking about recruiting for some time. Robinson is 9-0 and has secured home field in the first round of the Northern Region Divison 6 playoffs. They are looking good for a serious run at the State Championship.
