Hargrave Military Academy’s Justin Harper is one of the fastest rising names in recruiting these days. The 6-4, 200 pound wide receiver possesses outstanding athletic ability and speed. He runs a 4.5 in the 40 yard dash.

The Catawba, North Carolina, native has had several big games for Hargrave’s Post-Grad team this season. Here are some of the highlights.

Game: Hargrave 21, Ferrum College 16 (scrimmage)
Harper: 45-yard touchdown reception

Game: Hargrave 35, Bridgewater 6
Harper: 61-yard touchdown reception

Game: Hargrave 10, Virginia Tech JV 0
Harper: 47-yard touchdown reception

Game: Hargrave 34, Lackawanna Jr College 9
Harper: 16-yard touchdown reception

Harper answered some questions recently about his recruitment. Because of his busy schedule, he answered these questions via e-mail. I hope to go more in-depth with him in the near future.

Pass: Which schools have offered you scholarships?

Harper: “So far I have offers from Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, UNC, and NC State.”

Pass: Do you still plan on enrolling in January? When do you hope to have a decision?

Harper: “I still do plan on enrolling in January. I’ll decide after I take my visits and after my test scores come in.”

Pass: Where do you plan on taking your visits?

Harper: “To all those I listed before…Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, UNC, and NC State.”

Pass: What are your favorite schools right now? Does any school have the edge right now?

Harper: “Virginia Tech and Wake Forest are my favorites, and Virginia Tech has the edge right now over the rest.”

Pass: What do you like about the schools you will visit?

Harper: “Well I’ve been to all of the schools before except for NC State. I really love the environments at each school.”

Pass: How do you feel you have played this season? What do you think about your Hargrave experience?

Harper: “I feel my season is going really well. My experience here at Hargrave has been great, and I would recommend any kid in my situation to attend Hargrave.”
