Northern Durham (NC) linebacker Chase Bullock did not make the trip to Charlottesville last weekend. In Friday night’s 35-6 victory over Jordan, he suffered an injury and decided not to make the visit.
“I pulled my groin in my game Friday night, so I didn’t get to go to the game,” said Bullock, who had made 15 tackles before the injury. “I saw the game on TV and I thought they played really well.”
Heading into the weekend, Bullock was leaning heavily towards Virginia. Since indicating that he might commit on the unofficial visit, he received calls from several schools and has now decided to make his official visits before deciding.
“Schools like Maryland and South Carolina called me and said they heard I might commit,” said Bullock. “Now, I’m going to make some official visits and then I’ll decide. I know I at least want to visit Maryland. They were one of the first schools to offer me. Virginia is still high on my list, but I’ll say now that I’ve opened things up.”
This is tough news for the Cavaliers in the respect that he was so close to committing, however he still really likes the Virginia program. I would still consider UVA to be one of the favorites to land Bullock.
