Jack Britt High School (Fayetteville, NC) running back George Bell may not make his previously scheduled visit to Virginia this weekend. He may use the weekend to think about his decision.
“I’m not sure if I’m going to go to Virginia this weekend,” said Bell. “I need to get a hold of Coach [Corwin] Brown so I can talk to him about it.”
Bell has taken four visits thus far, with his fourth being to Virginia Tech last weekend. Hosted by freshman linebacker Vince Hall, the Hokies made a good impression on the star back.
Virginia Tech has moved into the top three with NC State and Michigan. UNC remains under consideration as well.
“It was a good time,” said Bell of his Virginia Tech official visit. “It was different from the rest. They didn’t pull out the red-carpet treatment like I got at the other schools, and I liked that. The whole weekend was good. Virginia Tech has moved up to my top three [along with NC State and Michigan].”
Regardless of if he takes his visit to Virginia this weekend, Bell has a date when he would like to make his decision.
“I want to make my decision on [Thursday] October 23rd,” said Bell. “I’ll decide between those three and UNC.”
It didn’t sound like Bell wanted to make his visit to Virginia this weekend, so that may be cancelled soon. NC State, Virginia Tech, and Michigan are his top three and he will likely choose from those schools.
NC State may be tough to beat here because the Wolfpack has been at or near the top of the list for a long time. Bell enjoyed his visits to Michigan and Virginia Tech, however, so anything is possible.
