Virginia has set the bar on Andre Brown ‘s first official visit. The 6-1, 215 pound running back from JH Rose HS (NC) returned from his trip to Charlottesville impressed with what the Cavs have to offer.
In fact, they are now his leader.
“I now have a favorite,” said Brown. “Virginia is my leader.”
Brown plans on taking his other official visits, which will be to Tennessee, Nebraska, NC State, and Miami (FL). No dates have been set, but Brown knows he wants to take the visits.
“Yes I am going to take my other visits,” said Brown. “Just to see what they others have to offer and compare.”
Before the visit, Brown did not know what to expect on his first official trip. He would be pleasantly surprised.
“It exceeded my expectations,” said Brown. “Heading into the visit, I didn’t know what to think. They treated me really well and it felt good. I had a great time.
“Wali Lundy was my host and I hung out with the RB’s pretty much the whole time. Wali and I hit it off pretty good. He’s a cool guy. They are a cool bunch of guys. I could see myself hanging out with them if I went there.”
While the game was an exciting part of the visit, Brown says something else was the highlight.
“The highlight for me was seeing my name and number on a Cavaliers jersey,” said Brown. “The game was crazy. I was on my feet the whole time. As soon as you arrived, you could feel the game atmosphere. I understood what it felt like to play in front of 60,000 fans, and it was a good feeling.”
Sounds like Brown had an excellent time during his first official visit. He will take his other official visits, but UVA has set a pretty high standard for him to compare.
