Northern Durham (Durham, NC) linebacker Chase Bullock has been one busy man during the month of September. Calls have been flooding in from many colleges wanting to talk with the 6-3, 223 pound star prospect.
There have been so many calls Bullock had troubling remembering just which schools he spoke with.
“I spoke to Virginia, Virginia Tech…a whole lot of teams,” said Bullock. “There are so many that I can’t remember who they all are.”
No new schools have offered Bullock, who has received offers from Virginia, Wake Forest, Maryland, Marshall, and Duke. Schools such as Virginia Tech have called indicating they would like to take a look at Bullock, either on film or in person, before offering.
Of the schools recruiting him, Bullock named two favorites. Do not expect a decision soon, however, as he would like to take some official visits before making his decision.
“Virginia and Wake Forest are my top two,” said Bullock. “I’m not going to decide yet because I want to take some visits first. I know I will visit Virginia, Wake Forest, and Maryland. I don’t have any dates set up. I am also going to take some unofficial trips. I know I’m going to the Wake Forest game this weekend, and I’m going to Virginia’s game versus Wake Forest [on September 27th].”
On the gridiron, Bullock’s team is off to a 2-1 start. He has played very well, including a 14 tackle, one sack performance in game one.
Bullock is excited about his play this season and feels like he could contribute early on the next level.
“I want to go where I can play early,” said Bullock, who could play outside or middle linebacker in college. “I feel like I’ve improved a lot this season. I’m playing very well.”
