Theodore Miller, cornerback for HD Woodson HS in Washington, DC, has liked the Hokies for quite some time. He recently received an offer from coach Beamer and company, and today committed to the program.
Miller becomes the third commitment of the 2004 class for Virginia Tech.
“I just committed,” said Miller. “It’s real exciting. A smile came to my face after the coaches told me they were offering. Me and William [Wall] have talked for a long time about going to the same school. And I really like the whole program down at Virginia Tech.”
Coach Tony Ball, who is Virginia Tech’s main recruiter at HD Woodson (Washington, DC), has developed a great relationship with Miller.
“Coach Ball is my man,” said Miller. “I can call him up and talk about anything. We’ve got a real good relationship with him.”
Miller, who will play cornerback on the next level, hopes to major in Business. He has qualified for NCAA freshman eligibility.
At 6-2,170 pounds, Miller runs a 4.4/4.5 in the 40 and possesses a 38″ vertical leap. According to HD Woodson defensive coordinator, Miller is the “best athlete I’ve ever coached.” He chose the Hokies over Tennessee, Maryland, and NC State.
