Westfield (Chantilly, VA) wide receiver Eddie Royal is finally starting to get the offers he has been expecting since the end of his junior year. One of the most dynamic and exciting players in the state, Royal has added offers from Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and Syracuse to early offers from Marshall and Kent State.

This summer, Royal has worked hard in the classroom to raise his grade point average. His hard work is starting to pay off.

“It hasn’t been a fun summer,” said Royal. “But I’ve done well in the classroom, so that’s all that matters. It wasn’t looking too great [in terms of offers] earlier this summer. I wasn’t getting the offers I felt I should be getting. Now I know how important school work is, so I’m working hard to improve.

“I’m telling all of our younger guys to concentrate on their academics. That’s one important thing I’ve learned this summer.”
