HD Woodson (Washington, DC) defensive end William Wall was looking forward to a visit to Virginia Tech for last week’s summer camp. Unfortunately he could not make the trip. Instead Wall plans on taking one of his official visits to Blacksburg this fall.

“Virginia Tech will get one of my official visits,” said Wall. “I also want to visit Miami (FL) and maybe Tennessee. I probably will only take two or three official visits, if that, before I make my decision. I don’t want to waste a school’s time.”

Virginia Tech remains the favorite for Wall, who is also receiving heavy interest from Miami (FL), Clemson (recent offer), Tennessee, Maryland, Michigan, and NC State. While the Hokies have not officially offered, Walls believes it is just a matter of time before they do.

“Basically, they have verbally offered me,” said Wall of the Hokies. “I haven’t sent them my recent SAT score, which is why they haven’t sent me an official offer. They tell me they will offer. They’re at the top of my list. Me and my teammate (CB Theodore Miller) are thinking about Virginia Tech.”

Wall tripped to Blacksburg for the Nike Camp earlier this year and attended the Spring game as well. He has developed a good relationship with coach Tony Ball, who is his main recruiter.

Walls’ relationship with the coaching staff is just one reason why the Hokies are his favorite.

“I like Coach Ball a whole lot,” said Wall. “The coaches really look like they take care of their ball players. Plus they have had a lot of defensive end’s make it to the league. They aren’t too far away either.”

According to Wall, he has received nine scholarship offers. Clemson, Maryland, Michigan, NC State, and Michigan State are included among that list.
