Washington Township (NJ) linebacker/defensive end Hugh D’Imperio has been offered a scholarship by Virginia Tech, according to head coach Tom Brown. Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Boston College, West Virginia, Michigan State, and South Carolina are other schools who have extended offers.

D’Imperio, who is 6-5, 230 pounds, runs a 4.6 in the 40 yard dash and is an exceptional athlete. He plays inside linebacker and tight end for Washington Township.

“On defense, Hugh is strong, aggressive, and arrives in a nasty mood for every game,” said Brown. “He’s also a good tight end. He’s a little thin right now, but he will be big – can get up to around 260 I think.”

Brown says D’Imperio likes Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia at this point. With his size and athletic ability, D’Imperio is sure to be the subject of heavy recruitment over the next year.
