Hargrave Military Academy (VA) standout Michael Hinton was scheduled to visit Florida State this weekend for his fifth and final official visit.
According to Hargrave Coach Robert Prunty, Hinton will not be making it down to Tallahassee this weekend.
“The trip is cancelled,” said Prunty. “It’s down to Virginia Tech and NC State.”
Hinton, who committed to NC State last year before enrolling at Hargrave, had been wide open throughout this recruiting process.
According to Coach Prunty, he now has a favorite, however a decision date is not decided.
“I’m told Virginia Tech is now the favorite,” said Prunty. “I don’t know when he will make his decision.”
This is certainly positive news for the Hokies, as landing Hinton would be a major coup. An outstanding athlete, Hinton could play wide receiver or defensive back on the collegiate level.
