Following an impressive official visit to the University of North Carolina, Jesse Holley is almost ready to make his collegiate decision. Now, he just has to think about it.
At this time, he has narrowed his list to two schools.
“It’s going to be between Virginia and North Carolina,” said Holley. “Right now, I’m in deliberation. I’m just talking with my family about what’s best for me. Hopefully I can decide by next Monday.”
Holley thoroughly enjoyed his visit to North Carolina, yet still likes the Cavaliers a lot. His decision will be tough.
“I liked what I saw down at North Carolina,” said Holley. “But I’m still caught up in Virginia. I like them both. It will be a hard decision.”
Virginia’s scholarship crunch may end up affecting Holley’s situation. When we last spoke to Holley last week, he still had a scholarship offer. He does not feel the situation has changed.
“I haven’t talked to Virginia this week,” said Holley. “As far as I know, the scholarship is still there.”
Last week, the Virginia staff told Holley a scholarship may not be available following the weekend of the 17th. Holley hopes to speak to the Virginia staff this week to clarify his scholarship situation.
In the meantime, Holley has an in-home scheduled with UNC this week. It appears the next few days will prove significant in Holley’s recruitment.
