Two days after returning from his official visit to Charlottesville, Jermaine Dias received a visit from five coaches from the University of Virginia.

According to Hackensack head coach Ralph Dass, UVa paid a visit to the stud linebacker early this morning.

“Five Virginia coaches were here today. In fact, they beat me to work,” said Dass with a laugh.

Following the meeting, Dass was able to catch up with Dias, who has been a star for Hackensack these past four years.

It appears one team has pulled ahead in the race to obtain his services over the next four years.

“If I had to say right now, I would guess that Jermaine ends up at Virginia,” said Dass. “That’s what I got from what he told me. He’s still going to visit Boston College out of respect, but unless they wow him, I think he’s going to Virginia.”

Last night, Dias was quoted as saying it will likely come down to Virginia and North Carolina. While Dias did thoroughly enjoy his visit to Chapel Hill, coach Dass believes other factors will come into play.

“He had a good time on his visit, but as I told him at the beginning of this process, visits aren’t everything,” said Dass. “You have to take into account how involved you will be with football…you’ll be spending a lot of time with the coaches and players.

“Plus, I think Virginia has done a great job of letting him know that he’s a top guy for them. Virginia has some great players already there [at linebacker], but I told Jermaine that’s what he should want. He should compete against the best. Virginia is also an up and coming program.”

Dias has been very respectful and up front with each program throughout this recruiting process. He will take his Boston College trip. Unless he has an excellent experience at Boston College, it sounds as if Virginia may land one of the top outside linebacker’s in the country according to Coach Dass.
