Roselle (NJ) wide receiver Jesse Holley had his in-home visit with the Virginia coaches Al Golden and Mike Groh today.
While the talented athlete is favoring the Cavaliers, no decision came out of today’s visit.
“I didn’t commit,” said Holley. “Virginia’s still my favorite, but I’m still going to take my North Carolina visit. I want to at least see what North Carolina has to offer.”
Holley and the coaches talked a lot about Virginia’s scholarship situation, which could get a little murky following this weekend’s official visits.
“Coach Golden says he doesn’t know how many guys may commit from this weekend,” said Holley. “I take a chance of losing my spot if I wait, but I want to visit North Carolina first. Not to say I don’t want to go to Virginia, I just want to check out every option.
“Coach Golden didn’t pressure me or anything though. That’s what I like about him, he never pressure’s me about anything.”
Holley will likely decide soon after his North Carolina visit. He still favors Virginia, however he is also thinking about Ohio State, North Carolina, and even Michigan State, who has come back into the picture slightly. If the Cavaliers still have room for him after this weekend and North Carolina doesn’t wow him, Virginia has a great chance at landing Holley.
