Roselle (NJ) WR prospect Jesse Holley took his third official visit this past weekend, as he went to National Champion Ohio State.
Heading into the visit, the Buckeyes were at the top of his list, however that does not seem to be the case anymore.
“Right now, I would have to say Virginia is my favorite,” said Holley. “Out of all of the schools, Virginia has a great education program and I felt a part of the team more at Virginia than at Ohio State. I was just one of the guys at Virginia.
“Don’t get me wrong, the Ohio State visit was good. It just didn’t meet my expectations, I guess.”
Holley will visit North Carolina this weekend for his fourth and final official trip. The Tarheels are currently on the outside looking in, however a good visit could change things.
“I’m going to visit North Carolina this weekend, and then I will have a decision shortly after,” said Holley. “North Carolina is there, but I don’t know. You never know though, I might have a knock-your-socks off type of visit that could really influence my decision.”
While Holley likes the Cavaliers, he has an important in-home visit with recruiting coach Al Golden this Wednesday. He will have several questions to ask Golden, whom he spoke with this evening.
“I spoke to him tonight,” said Holley. “We set up an in-home visit for this Wednesday. Then, I can ask some questions and have some questions answered. I will probably ask him where I am in terms of their wide receiver recruiting. Whatever comes to mind at that time I will ask. He’s a straight-up kind of guy. If he knows the answer, he will answer it, and that’s what I like about him.”
Holley really likes Virginia at this point, and it appears many questions could be answered this Wednesday in terms of where the talented wide receiver fits into Virginia’s plans.
