Chase Anastasio was supposed to visit the University of Maryland this past weekend for one of the Terrapins biggest recruiting weekend’s in recent memory.
Unfortunately for the Terps, the talented athlete from Robinson (Fairfax, VA) did not make the trip.
“We didn’t go to Maryland,” said Mike Anastasio, Chase’s father. “They were pretty upset we didn’t make the trip. Right now, Chase has narrowed things down to Virginia, Virginia Tech, Ohio State, and Notre Dame.”
Anastasio will resume his visits on January 17, when he visits Virginia. He concludes his visits on January 24, when he visits Virginia Tech.
Currently, he lists no leader for his services, as he plans to take his remaining trips to make a thorough decision.
“I’ve been really proud of Chase throughout this whole process,” said Mike Anastasio. “He does a great job of not leading anybody on. He could have made a quick decision early on, but he is checking everything out because he wants to make sure he chooses the place that’s truly for him.”
Look for a decision to come from Anastasio shortly following his visit to Blacksburg.
Nothing much new here. It looks like Chase is pretty sold on the four schools indicated, with Virginia possibly having a slight edge in this one.
