OL Ian-Yates Cunningham finally announced his decision today, choosing the University of Virginia as his collegiate destination.

Announcing his choice on an ESPN.com chat with Tom Lemming, the Hebron Hawks (Lewisville, TX) standout chose the Cavaliers over Georgia Tech and Nebraska.

“I have decided to spend the next four to five years in the Commonwealth of Virginia,” said Cunningham during his chat. “I chose UVa because of the player-coach and player-player relationships. I have family nearby and the support is great.”

Cunningham becomes the 18th player to commit to the Cavaliers. He has earned preseason All-America honors by Superprep Magazine. Cunningham is ranked as #9 offensive line prospect and the #62 overall prospect in the country by Insiders.com, the #12 offensive tackle prospect in the country by Tom Lemming of ESPN.com, and is a four-star prospect by Rivals.com.
