- Running Back, Safety
- Class of 2005
- New Bern, NC (New Bern)
- 6-0, 197 lbs
- Status: TENN Signee
Notes:
Hardesty rushed for 1,983 yards on 240 carries as a junior last season, adding 16 receptions for 304 yards. He scored 20 total touchdowns. On defense, he made two picks in just 35 plays all season at the cornerback position. Projects as either a tailback or cornerback on the next level.
Head Coach Chip Williams: “In my opinion, Montario may be a better cornerback than a running back on the next level. He started at cornerback for us as a sophomore. He faced Mohamed Massaquoi that year, and really did an incredible job defending him. I think Massaquoi is one of the top athletes in our area.
On offense, "he has the ability to run over you, but I'd say he's more of a slashing-type running back."
