Hunter Ovens

Notes: Ovens earned second team all-state honors as a junior after rushing for 492 yards and nine touchdowns, recording 119 tackles (10 tackles for loss and 8 sacks) and averaging 44.7 yards per punt for the Class 2B-Region 3 runner-up Cougars (7-5).

Ovens is a terrific baseball player as well, hitting .527 with 10 doubles, three triples, five home runs and 42 RBI, plus stealing 17 bases as a junior.

Senior season: Game 1 - Kickoff Classic(W): 1 rushing TD; 7 tackles. Game 1(W): 2 rushing TDs (38, 1). Game 2(W): 9 carries, 89 yards, 3 TDs. Defensively, he helped his team to a shutout victory. Game 3(W): Scored the go ahead touchdown - a 3-yard TD run. Missed most of the game due to cramps. Game 4(W): 9 carries, 38 yards. Game 5(W): 5-yard TD run; 3 sacks, 2 tackles-for-loss, 1 forced fumble. Game 6(W): 2 TDs rushing (9, 13). Game 7(W): 2 TD runs (58, 16); 57-yard punt, 64-yard punt. Game 8(W): 111 yards rushing, 4 TDs. Game 9(W): TD run. Game 10(W): 3-yard TD run; 1 INT for TD. Game 11(W): 10 carries, 28 yards, 1 TD; 2 receptions, 58 yards, 1 TD
