Notes: The versatile Boone earned first-team all-district, first-team all-tidewater, and second-team all-region honors as a junior last season for at the safety position. He is being recruited primarily as a quarterback, where he is a two-year starter and earned second-team all-district honors last season.

As a junior, Boone completed 75 of 130 passes for over 1,400 yards with 14 touchdowns and three interceptions. He rushed for 330 yards and eight touchdowns. At safety, he finished with 40 tackles, 12 pass-breakups, and intercepted five passes. He can bench press 315 pounds and squat 475 pounds.

Coach Richard Morgan: "You don’t get Greg’s combination of size and speed very often. He could play about five different positions in college. Quarterback, tight end, safety, linebacker, defensive end…I could see him at any of those positions. Most teams like him as a quarterback though. I’ve never seen a kid with his size, speed, and arm strength. He’s a freak of nature.

“As a quarterback, what separates him is that he’s great at making something happen when everything breaks down. He’s great at getting outside and either directing a receiver to get open, or just tucking the ball and running. And he knows the game so well."
