Doug Worthington

Notes: Worthington transferred to St. Francis before the 2003 season after his previous school closed. He was a significant contributor for the program, finishing with 63 tackles (27 solo), 11 quarterback pressures, five sacks, two forced-fumbles, and one pass break-up as a junior last year.

Coach Jerry Smith: “He uses both his strength and athleticism on defense. He has very, very good explosion. Whether he plays defensive end, offensive tackle, or tight end, once he gets his hands on someone he just throws them out of the way. He looks strong, and teams know he’s strong, but they don’t know how strong he is. He also has a nice knee bend for a tall player.”
