Notes: One of the top running backs in the state, Wilson averaged 11.4 yards per carry in rushing for 1,551 yards and 17 touchdowns as a junior last season. He added two touchdowns on returns and one touchdown reception as well.

2008 Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of Virginia, Wilson set a GW-Danville single season record with 2,291 yards rushing as a senior. He scored 30 touchdowns in the regular season. He also captured the single game rushing record with a 351-yard performance against Franklin County.

One of the top triple jump athletes in the state, Wilson jumped a jump of 49 feet, six inches at an event in January of 2008. He also does well in the 55 meters.

Head coach Dan Newell: "David Wilson emerged last year. Before that, you could tell something special was going to happen with him. It happened [in 2007]. Everyone is shocked at what he can do with his speed and power."
