Cornell Brown

Notes: Cornell Brown was a 4-year starter for the Hokies. He will always be remembered as one of the greatest players in Tech history. His jersey is retired in Lane Stadium. He was a Consensus All-American in 1995. He recorded 36 sacks during his career. He was Big East Defensive Player of the Year in 1995. At the end of his career, he had accumulated more sacks than any player in Big East history.

Brown was the top Virginia Tech recruit in 1993. He was #2 in the state by The Roanoke Times. He was #6 in the Atlantic Coast region by Blue-chip Illustrated. He chose the Hokies over Virginia, Maryland, Pittsburgh and East Carolina.
