B.J. Walker

Notes: B.J. played the 2002-03 season at Buffalo (where he averaged 10 points and 6 rebounds), then transferred to Garden City Community College, where he redshirted the 2003-04 season. During the 2004-05 season at Garden City, he averaged 16.2 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. Was named All-Jayhawk West 1st team in the competitive Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference.

Walker is a bruising, physical, low post player who is very good at scoring around the basket. He is also very good playing out on the floor, with the ability to step out to 19 feet and make jump shots.

Coach Swanson on Walker: “B.J. was a tremendous addition to [our] team. He is not only a very good player, but he is hungry to prove that he can play at the highest level.”
