Notes: As a junior, Field made 11 quarterback sacks from the defensive end position. As a tight end, he is noted for his excellent blocking capabilities as well as his ability to catch the ball.

Coach Belchik: "Defensively, Alex was the Player of the Year in our district (Dulles district). He's 6-6, 248 pounds, and he's strong. He played defensive end for us, and nobody could stop him. Nobody could single block him. He's a bright player and he's intelligent.

"Offensively, he's a great blocker. Our stat guys started counting pancakes last year, and Alex was incredible. Not only would he knock his guy to the ground, but he goes and looks for other guys to block."
