No disrespect to Joey, because he was an awesome Hokie, but all of the other assistants were more accomplished AND they are far ahead of Joey on freestyle experience - especially the two Olympians. That is worth a lot in terms of recruiting.

Robie also has to think about diversity - in terms of where his assistants come from and can recruit from - when selecting his assistants. Frank from PA, TY from Ohio are huge pluses.

There's a lot that goes into the decisions besides who would train the guys well in the room - although that's obviously very important too.
