Wins at any point in the season...

are important, in my opinion. I understand your point about experimenting out of conference versus in conference but, I think a little finer point is needed on that theory. Experiment when the game is in hand or against an opponent that is really not a serious threat but, I do not believe you risk giving away a win for an experiment.
