I'm not sure we have the talent to play with teams that are just average.

After we beat Syracuse and UNC I thought there was progress and we would get to 8 wins, boy was I wrong. If we actually valued the ball and limited turnovers we could be much improved, but 20 turnovers (one every two minutes) is ridiculous. How many times over the last few games did Magarity throw it away, often throwing it right into the palm of the hand of the opposition. If I were the coach I would be livid (probably good thing I am not). No one fakes a pass to get the D moving in order to make a pass. When they get pressured they remind me of 12 year old AAU teams, just throw it somewhere to get it out of your hands, as long as you get rid of it you can throw it anywhere. And it often results in a lay up and the player who threw it away fouls as the lay up goes in. I don't know why I get frustrated, it does not seem to get our coach excited. If my job was on the line and I was giving scholarships for the right to play I would be chewing someone's butt. I guess that is why I am not a coach. (and give those reading this reason to rejoice, maybe I would be too much like Wolfe)

I don't know the average number possessions in a game. If each team uses the 30 second clock each team would have one possession per minute, but we know that is not the norm, so I would guess about 50 to 55, as 20 seconds per possession gives 60 possessions per team. When 35% to 40% of the possessions you do not even get a shot how can you expect to win. Until someone emphasizes taking care of the ball just expect more of the same.
