were only (what?) 4 or 6 of them.

I have an old hard cover book that has the origin stories and an early issue reprinted for Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Hawkman, The Spirit, Captain America, The Human Torch, Plasticman, The Flash, Green Lantern and some more I'm not remembering. Yes, the Wonder Woman one was pretty into bondage and sexy ish drawings, especially since it was the 1940's. But I didn't know WHY it was until I saw that "Secret History of Comics" episode.
