- Although we lost the dual, felt like a successful trip by winning both 84 & 97.

- Macchiavello’s defense is so solid. Hope Jared can find a way to ride him or get a rapid fire takedown against him at ACCs.

- Hope I am wrong, but I think Moore is probably still the best 197. I think Big 10s and NCAAs will show his issues this year have been recovery time after making weight. His Vegas “struggles” were early matches and his 2 losses were with 1 hour weigh ins (2nd overall match of dual against NC State). Maybe someone can catch him in a Friday AM Quarterfinal.

- Chishko was stalling, but 1 or 2 of those stalling calls should have gone against Hidlay for pushing out. Especially if what Macchiavello did to Moore was stalling. I like the edge stalling rules in concept, but he continency in which they are called is maddening.

- I don’t know what Chishko’s situation is this year, but if I am a coach I’m probably pulling my hair out wondering what button to push. Despite all his struggles this year, he still has a win against the #4 ranked 149 guy and got the 1st takedown against the #3 157. Devil’s advocate question with benefit of seeing whole regular season- I wonder if forcing him to wrestle through his issues this year would have been a better approach?

- Loved seeing Zavatsky get that win and his reaction after. Really pulling for him to string 3 or 4 of those wins together @ NCAAs. Last year with Dance and others trying to get over the AA hump, seemed like the coaching staff preached we had to be more aggressive on offensive to reduce the margin of error. This year SEEMS like maybe we are ok with riding, and grinding out a 1 or 2 point win.
