Don't get me wrong, Lamar Jackson was a very good college football player, but you don't lose 3 of your last 4 (one being to UK) and still win the Heisman. He was a fumbling maching by the end of 2016. The ESPN overhype machine worked well for Lamar.

Likewise, Oklahoma shouldn't have the luxury of keeping their top 25 status on the shoulders of Trae Young. Again, Trae Young is a very good player. But If he were as great as the ESPN overhype machine would tell us, OU would be a solid top 10 program.

OU could lose the rest of their games and probably still make the dance because they have Trae Young. They should pay ESPN for this publicity. Who knows... maybe they already are.
