It seems to me that society has different standards depending on whether the minor is male or female. If the minor is male and he "lands"/"bags"/whatever other term you want to throw out there an older woman/"cougar," then he is almost celebrated for his accomplishments. Whereas, if the minor is a female, then she is typically portrayed as the "victim." It wasn't until recently did you see some minor males as "victims" because the assumption has always been that a minor male is physically strong enough to resist the unwanted advances of an older woman and remain silent on the mental aspect of the situation.
