He is. He is forcing Seattle's hand. If he "retires" he gets nothing but


an injury settlement. If he sticks around and feigns like he intends to play even if he just goes out and loafs around in preseason he has a chance to negotiate a total that includes the guaranteed $6.8 mil AND some portion of an injury settlement. He won't suit up again. This is just both sides working on a settlement and posturing.
