The dual rankings reflect how you might perform in dual matches as a team should your team go head to head against another. Tournament rankings reflect how a team might perform as if they were in the NCAA tournament. In a dual, a wrestler can only get 3-6 team points and quite often it is just 3 or 4 even if they are really good. In the NCAA tournament, an individual that is really good and AAs can get quite a few team points; the range can be 0-20+. Thus the difference between rankings may shale out differently for a team.
