I think it's all about the perimeter D.
When UVA gets on a "run" (or maybe, for them, it would be a "fast walk") it's usually because Guy, Jerome, and Hall are lighting it up from distance. Our wing players have got to be able to extend on D without giving up dribble penetration. We also need to create live ball turnovers out top to have any hope of getting some easy baskets in transition- they get back on D pretty well so don't think we will see many fast breaks generated off rebounds or paint turnovers. Fighting through screens and getting into passing lanes will be critical against a team that is perfectly content to lob the ball around the perimeter for most of the shot clock. If we allow the Hoos to make it a low-possession game where they hit a lot of uncontested 3's, we will see a similar result as last time.
