Part of the issue was despite a lackluster offense, Tech was conistently


winning 10 or 11 games. From '99 to '11, six 11-win seasons and five 10-win seasons. 23 straight bowl wins and winning seasons.

In retrospect, we can say Beamer probably needed to get new blood to run the offense in the mid 2000's. But Beamer was loyal to his staff and what got him there.

Look at a school like Georgia that fired Mark Richt for continually winning nine or ten games.

Justin Fuente will not be Tech's head coach for 29 years, I can almost guarantee it. He of course may opt to move to bigger things. ,But if the intent is to win a championship, the pressure is on to win the ACC in the next four years.
