Once they add Smith on 14 March they don't have the cap room for Cousins


so the timing will be very tricky. Also not sure how much leverage they will have since teams know they absolutely have to trade him. They will get a 3rd if he leaves via free-agency which would almost replace the one they traded away so it will almost be Smith for Fuller and a 3rd round swap.

If they can make it happen they should try though.

Agree with you on Keenum/Bradford/Foles. The QB market is just silly now and making a mistake can kill a franchise. I like that the 49ers got a half season to evaluate Garappolo - imagine if he hadn't played at all in 2017. Someone still would have paid him that kind of money with 2 career starts.
