Been there done that.
In my youth I would regularly try and cut 20+ for a weight. Natural 140 down to 119. Dumbest thing I ever did....see sawed all over the place and never had the strength to quality train. Later I learned that cutting 6-10 from normal weight was ideal and things were WAY better. More only if done over a long period of time.
Just my experience...others may be better at it. Then again I did not have much to lose at the get go.
