ACC Atlantic is the much tougher division


#7 is about where I thought we would be. Maybe we play #11 Alabama and/or #14 Ole Miss over the weekend if things go well. A lot of Big 10 schools on our schedule with #18 Michigan, #37 Ohio State, Penn State and Purdue. Looks like #9 FSU is the only pre-season Top 25 team from the ACC. JMU is ranked #21 but I think that they'll struggle without their ace Megan Good this season. We also play #43 Texas. The ACC has been down for a few years now. UNC is ranked #36 an Notre Dame is ranked #38. I'm hoping that our pitching takes a big step forward this season. We have a young team with a lot of new faces. I can't remember our roster having so many players. We have more pitching and more than one catcher this season. I expect improvement. IMHO, the ACC is FSU and the other eleven. I can see #2 to #10 in the conference being very competitive which should make for an interesting 2018 in the ACC.
