Really confused why Hill and Clarke are unable to prevent

dribble penetration. As two of our best athletes, I'd expect them to be able to keep a slower, less athletic player in DJ Vasiljevic in front of them instead of letting him have a straight line drive to the rim. They've been in the program for 4 and 3 years respectively (though I recognize they've had injuries) and are still defensive liabilities outside of a Clarke block or steal.

Also, I guess you can't bench but so many guys, but in my opinion Blackshear isn't our only player who has inconsistent effort but seems to be the only one who pays the price for it. Multiple times Clarke failed to box out resulting in an easy Miami layup, mistakes we can't have from our most talented rebounder.

At the end of the day, I'd just like to see the guys that play hard defensively 100% of the time get rewarded in terms of minutes. PJ Horne was phenomenal! He'll get the free throw issue straightened out. Going forward, I think this team would benefit from having more time with Bede on the floor with Robinson. Small lineup, but Bede doesn't have to run the offense and it couldn't make us anything but better on the defensive end. Overall, I really like how our young guys are coming along, nice to see NAW breaking out of his slump and playing like the guy we expected he could be. I believe these freshman getting extra minutes at the expense of older guys who struggle to bring it every night could hurt us offensively in the short term, but would benefit us on the defensive end and in setting the culture that Buzz wants to achieve.

I'm far from a coach, just my $0.02
