Syracuse and their fans had to have had a high confidence level that


they would win this game. In the 2004 thru 2006 seasons, the Hokies topped out with 6 wins. Since that time it has been 2-4-1-3-4-4-1-5-4-4. I would compare their feelings to how Tech fans feel when a loss to Duke comes along, even now.
I believe that Brooks will keep raising the profile of the program. Heck, I think he will create a new World record for VT with at least 7! wins this year. But it will take a lot of continuous success to get the respect of the rest of the league and their fans.
