My three takeaways:


- Kid knew Parker was on his tail and probably a better wrestler -- he feared losing his starting role and did not respond except to complain.
- Wanted to go with his old coaches, but instead of just asking for a transfer and moving on...he admittedly asked to finish the year and wrestle NCAA's as a lame duck so he could pad his stats, while preventing the program from allowing another wrestle quality mat time to develop for someone that is committed.
- Just trying to mitigate the damage he did and save face for UVa fallout.
