Not true. Huge talent shortage in the mining industry in general.

Though it is not booming 2004 to 2009 levels. Australian friend was in middle mgmt. He used his yearly bonus to buy himself a brand new mercedes roadster. Cars a pricier in australia and that was with after tax money, where their tax rates are higher.
